Você sabe o que é o Google Gears?
Você já se perguntou como seria bom ter acesso a produtos web (como os do Google) sem estar conectado? Por exemplo, ler suas notícias no Google Reader, escrever um e-mail no Gmail para enviar quando estiver on-line, etc.
Bom, a resposta para isso é justamente: Google Gears!
Segue abaixo um vídeo do desenvolvedor Aaron Boodman anunciando o Google Gears:
Google Gears is open source software, licensed under the New BSD license. Generally speaking, this license is very permissive.
